Phases

The program for the New Legacy Home for Women is a fifteen-month program divided into three different phases culminating with a graduation ceremony. This program is designed to offer women the best possible environment to write a new life story by providing necessary tools to live healthy, independent, productive lives that will leave a positive impact on their families, future generations and the Lubbock community. 

Genesis Phase (3 Months)

The Introduction 

Focus: Build a relationship with Christ, teach values and self-worth, learn to manage finances  

Programs: Individual and Group Counseling, Financial Coaching, Celebrate Recovery, Parenting Classes 

Participation: Church, Volunteer Work, Physical Fitness, Bible Studies 

  • Basic life skills are modeled and taught for the entirety of the program. 
  • Residents are not permitted to be employed outside of the home in the Genesis Phase.   
  • A bi-weekly stipend of $50 will be given starting on the 3rd week of residency through the end of the Genesis Phase.  (The stipend will be used as a tool for the Financial Coach and the resident to develop a personalized debt reduction, savings, and spending plan.) 

*When applicable, during this phase women will begin working on restoring relationships with their children. Different levels of visitation as allowed by Children’s Protective Services or guardians will be encouraged. 

Proverbs Phase (6 Months)

Wisdom and Daily Living 

Focus: address destructive patterns, learn general wisdom, discover practical truth for godly living, establish a life of excellence, learn order and structure 

Programs: Individual and Group Counseling, Financial Coaching, Celebrate Recovery, Parenting Classes 

Participation: Bible Studies, Church, Physical Fitness, Volunteer Work 

  • Residents can be employed part-time outside of the home, in order to learn how to balance study, work and personal time.  
  • No stipend will be given, and their earning from work will be used on their personalized debt reduction, savings, and spending plan.  
  • Rent will paid to contribute to the needs of the home, $5 bimonthly will be turned into the Administrative Coordinator 
  • Residents will now lose their $50 stipend, and use their funds from work to participate in Financial Coaching. 

Revelation Phase (6 Months)

The Final Phase 

Focus: continued growth in freedom from areas of weakness and strongholds.  

Programs (as schedule allows): Individual and Group Counseling, Financial Coaching, Celebrate Recovery, Parenting Classes 

Participation (as schedule allows): Bible Studies, Church, Physical Fitness, Volunteer Work  

  • Residents can be employed full-time outside of the home.  
  • Residents will pay rent; they must contribute $30 bimonthly and turn it into the Administrative Coordinator 
  • Transition back into the community will occur, giving residents the opportunity to practice what they have learned

    Any of the women that have children in the foster care system or living with relatives will continue to pursue visitations. The New Legacy staff will work closely with Child Protective Services and relatives to foster healthy family relationships that will promote the restoration of families.
